Welcome to the New York City Retirees oh the Poconos. Our association currently serves 75 retirees in the states of Pennsylvania and New York. We exist to give our members the latest news and information that will benefit them.
Headquartered in Bushkill Pennsylvania,The New York City Retirees of the Poconos is a new organization. Our main goal is to keep retirees informed of news, pension and medical updates, and to provide contact information to unions and payroll departments.Operated by Steven Schmalzried he has helped to get this organization running. Mr. Schmalzried began his career with the City of New York in 1986, as a sanitation worker, and was promoted to a supervisor in 2000 with the New York City Department of Sanitation. Mr. Schmalzried retired in August of 2006.
